Buying a Trullo in Italy

If you fancy something a little bit different you may be interested in a trullo. A trullo is an ancient circular building constructed about 300 years ago. Most trullos are located in Puglia region of Italy. The trullos were constructed by Apulian farmers. Trullos have thick stone walls, low ceilings and an open-plan style. As there are hardly any windows they provide a cool refuge from the strong Italian sunshine.

Recently a trullo in Bosco Selva was on sale for €70,000 although restoration was necessary.
